ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD/BEACH:

Neighboring the popular Maresias Beach, Paúba Beach maintains the tranquil atmosphere typical of a traditional coastal village.

Outside of the high season, it will be easy to forget that you are right next to one of the busiest stretches of sand on the São Paulo coast. Paúba only gets crowded during extended holiday periods and highly sought-after dates. Even during these times, Paúba Beach will always be calmer than Maresias.

Because it is farther from the highway, Paúba Beach has well-preserved natural surroundings, with scenery marked by mountains and lush greenery. Along the shoreline, a few houses, small inns, and restaurants welcome visitors looking for peace and quiet.

The sea at Paúba is calm, but with a sudden drop-off, which requires some caution with small children. The sand is white and soft, and since the beach is not very long, it is easy to walk from one end to the other. Don't miss the chance to take a dip in the river located at the left end of the beach. The convenience of alternating between fresh water and sea swims is one of Paúba Beach’s best features.
