ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD/BEACH:

Neighboring the popular Praia de Maresias, Praia do Paúba maintains the air of tranquility typical of a Fisherman's Village.

Outside the high season, it will be easy to forget that you are next to one of the busiest stretches of sand on the coast of São Paulo. Paúba is only crowded during periods of long holidays and very popular dates. Even though it receives more movement at these times, Praia do Paúba will always be calmer than Maresias.

Being away from the highway, Praia do Paúba has nature still well preserved and visually surrounded by mountains and a lot of green. By the sea, some houses, small inns and restaurants welcome tourists in search of peace and quiet.

The sea in Paúba is calm, but with characteristics of falling, which requires a little attention with the little ones. The strip of sand is white and fluffy. And since the beach is not very long, it will be easy to walk from one end to the other. Be sure to take a dip in the river located in the left corner. The ease of alternating between freshwater bathing and sea bathing is one of the best features of Praia do Paúba.

HOW TO GET AROUND IN PAÚBA:

If you want to explore several beaches and have freedom of time, the tip is to come by car! With a car, you can visit nearby beaches such as Maresias and Santiago (3 km) or Toque-Toque Pequeno and Calhetas (5 km). All you have to do is choose the time and itinerary that you like the most!

But if your idea is to enjoy just one beach and stay close to the accommodation, the best option is to go on foot or by bike. The path to the beach is about 600m, you won't regret it! And if you are the type that loves to cycle, you can explore the trails in the region.
